I would first like to point out that this would be the improper way of filing a "ticket" with a broken server... we have forums for a reason... Second, as Baker says, apparently you can't respawn in Gungame?

So far this appears to be an isolated problem to Baker. Everyone else seems to be respawning ok. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

as mav remembers i was having this problem but it was only one instance.  later the same day i was respawning just like normal so i dont know if its a small bug that persists for a short while or what

Yes this has been ongoing.Does'nt happen all the time,but a few people from time to time have mentioned it to me as well.I havent heard of this for a few weeks until Bakers comment.I do believe that it is a glitch that only lasts a little while.

This is a likely a spontaneous error with the custom re-spawn plugin we now use since Valve updated the Source engine a few months ago and broke the standard Gungame Utils and ES Tools re-spawn plugins that we used before. Those plugins were never fixed. There is nothing we can do to fix it right now and it's totally random. I simply can't repeat the problem to test some fixes on it.

I find it odd that only two people have reported this problem. It's even more strange that Baker has experienced it more than once and [_Jue_]Sin hasn't.

Please provide the following info the next time it happens to you so I can better diagnose it. At this point I know nothing about the issue other than a player can't re-spawn once in a blue moon.

- What map you were playing on when it happened?
- How many people were in the server at the time?
- Was anyone else experiencing the problem other than you? (Be certain of this!)
- Did it start in the middle of the map or were not not spawning as soon as the level changed to the new map?
- How long did it last? (The duration of the entire map or just a few minutes?)
- Did you start re-spawning again or did the server have to change to the next map to fix it?
- Did it last for more than one map or through multiple maps in the cycle?
- Please note any other corrective action you took to resolve it and whether it worked or not.

After documenting the above in a reply, please try to disconnect and reconnect to the server next time it happens to see if that fixes it.

I do believe it has to do with any third party modification, not connected to the server such as skins, custom huds, special menus, enhanced stats, etc. Try joining without anything attached. Keep it all default and simple, an d see if you still have this problem.

i think it's just a random bug that occurs every so often.  so far it's a very isolated problem, baker and myself seem to be the only people to have experienced it, his more often than mine.

Client Side Skins, HUD's Graphical interface, custom effects such as Nightvision flashlights , etc Will NOT effect gameplay.
There is a bug where you can load Sourcemod and Mani from the client, but KAC blocks this.}

I have received a couple of reports that is is also randomly happening in the Van City Gungame server to a few people as well. The conditions are the same as our server, which confirms my belief that this is most likely a plugin issue because it affects more than one server. Please continue to report this when it happens using the info in my post above so I can further diagnose it.

I just started having the same problem (unable to respawn) and its SO f-ing annoying. I thought by reconnecting or closing CS:S it would fix the problem, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't...

okay... So I'm updating this post:

Map- (more than one) the current one I'm on is... gg_arctic_texture_mystic_v2
The server is full
I am unaware of other players in the server having the same problem as me
It started when I first joined the server one map ago, I restarted, rejoined, disconnected and it still wouldn't spawn me. The map changed on to the one posted above and I still haven't spawned.

The problem is getting worse and worse, its at the point where I can't even play ggdm. This is so upsetting... I really hope it gets fixed asap, I need my GGDM :[

Yes this is an on-going issue we have yet to resolve, the admins that take care of the server are keeping track of when it happens and who it happens to. If it occurs again follow the guidelines Mav posted above and let him know to help us further progress on resolving this problem.

I'm continuing to work on this and will not stop until I have resolved it.
