I received the below message today via private chat. I responded to him in a follow-up post. I wanted to let you all see it so you know. Please be mindful and help people. There are only 27 Admins here and many of you are rarely on to help people. If you don't want to be an Admin anymore, please respond and let me know so I can remove you from the Admin list so people don't waste your time, or their time trying to reach you. This is absolutely no problem at all.

I've been playing Crackhouse 24/7 almost 24/7 and one thing i find is that it is very hard to get ahold of an admin. on the site i see postings saying this is not the case however i honestly believe its hard to get ahold of an admin. ive tried adding all of them to my buddy list, messangers etc but none of them reply, respond or accept.  the only admin i see quite often is 22-250 and he plays alot.

there was a group of admins who came into the server one day and when i asked them questions they ignored me. when i made a comment that its very hard to get ahold of one when you need one i was ridiculed by one and threatened with being banned.  there was also an admin who came in making some really retarded rules, such as knifing only by the door, no spawn camping, no using awps, no overuse of jihad mode, no autos on the roofs and when i challenged this person i was booted.

I play this game almost addictively. it really ruins the server when cheats come in and play as long as they want and nothing can be done. there is no reporting system in place like !admin, or !votekick or !voteban to get rid of these guys. the most recent was just 20 minutes ago and this guy played freely without fear of repercussion.

i been playing since January but just signed up on boomgaming last month. is it 6 months from the time you play on the server or 6 months from the time you sign up?

some of the admins havnt had no activity in months. i think maybe its just to make room. just a suggestion

Thanks for the heads up. I agree this can be frustrating. I'm a little miffed about a few things though.

I have never received a request from you and I'm logged into steam 24/7. Have you added me? My STEAM name is: scso1502

Also, 4 admins including me have been in our Ventrilo server virtually all day. Did you come in and page some one for help?

There is usually an Admin on the Ventrilo Server who may be hanging out or idling the AFK channel. Try them and see if you can reach one. I will continue to encourage our admins to idle Ventrilo, but even though this has been something I once required, I have had very few of them do it on a consistent basis.

I'm often at my computer and if I'm not, I check for messages frequently if I'm home. If I don't respond right away, I will as soon as I see your message.

In the meantime, don't hesitate to post a ban request. Posting a ban request instantly emails all 27 Admins and will get a pretty fast response. If the person leaves before an Admin can get in to see them, they can still be banned. Just make sure you submit a demo with your request so it can be verified. I will continue to work on things to address this issue and will remind admins to make sure they add people who request their friendship. And I always welcome your feedback.

My steam is usually open 24/7 I don't know the user's name but I haven't gotten a friend's request in the last week or so....so either steam never sent them out to me (or any of us possibly) or maybe he never tried, I don't wanna call the guy a liar but...currently there's 5 ppl on my friends list that are online excluding mav that are admins for us.

I've never received an invite, my steam is on as long as I'm on.

And I never seen him in vent, he may have tried to add on xfire, who knows, I never use my xfire.

I can't imagine who would be irresponsible enough to do that. Obviously an Admin that plays on Crackhouse, so that does indeed narrow it down.

Whoever was doing something gay like that needs to be removed/fired, thats just stupid if someone is booting after a player challenging rules they just feel like making up on the fly, a simple inspection of the chat log or action logs on admins will clear that up

I'm sorry, but this seems like a mistake to me. RARELY do I see other admins on the Crackhouse server, when I go on, so that part is true. But an over controlling admin? us allowing hackers play? us ignoring a player's cry for help? Highly unlikely. I'm not going to call this player a liar, but I don't see any proof on his part yet, so it's just neutral argument to me. I can go to any server and make up stuff like this too, and it could be very believable. Someone must check the chat logs. It seems that not one admin got a message from this player.

thanks for responding and i understand what your saying but please hear my point. this website overall is complicated and difficult to navigate if your are new to it and havnt used it at all or very little.  it is very hard to get ahold of admin. i added every single admin on the admin page of this website and to date only 4 admins have accepted.

you say they are all on the ventrilo server. well quite frankly i dont use that server and i find it difficult trying to contact an admin because of this. i am a huge crackhouse 24/7 fan and play ever single day. but when we get aimbots and cheats that come into the room it really destroys the server.

the map is full at times and gets ruined by cheaters. so those who arent familiar to the room often try to use !votekick or !voteban which is common in CSS.  they arent familiar with the server and there usually is no admin on the crackhouse map.  those who do know how to use it find frustration like i do. with only 4 admins allowing my accept they are not usually on.

so having to come to boomgaming net, sign on, find an admin, send an e-mail

or

having to download the application for the ventrilo server, set up and execute becomes frustrating just to find an admin. by the time an admin responds, which is usually hours or days later the culprit is gone and the experience of new people in the room gets ruined and they usually dont return because what they see is basic lawlessness and a server that allows cheats.


and the option of signing out and back in and then spectating, following and recording is just plain and simply complicated unless you hthese steps just to have somebody kicked. by the time you record
report it, an admin views it, then bans this person the damage and perception
to the server has already been done. this process takes hours if not days.

as i said before new people come in and see a jam packed server that
has many good players and this good experiance gets ruined because
cheats come in, sometimes 6 at a time and ruin the server, they run free
for hours or til the game ends before admin responds so this creates
a view that the server allows cheats because when they do come in people
usually leave before an admin is found and action is taken

it is not a simple as !vote kick or !admin or !contactadmin or other simple
commands that alert admins.  out of the many times i tried to contact admins
there was one time an admin was quick and responsive. 22-250 is very quick to
respond when he is on and i often see him on the server.

i suggest setting up commands in the steam console like what steam has, which
is report cheater and allowing that command to immediately contact all your admins
so the situation can be resolved quickly.

the other suggestion is i see admins that have not been on line for weeks,
i know i am active all the time and would love to be an admin.

i dont know how this situation would be cleared up. i am a fan of boomgaming
but i do not care for the ventrilo or any other server than crackhouse.
i also may suggest having a fire watch schedule for instance admin A provides
security to this server at these times, and admin B picks up his shift from this
time to this time on this server and provide a full rotating schedule so that there
is always admin present. however i know that wont be possible because from what i
know everybody here does this because they are a fan and are not paid so its just a thought.

so im not sure how this situation can be tackled and all i do know is the problems
i have seen.

my last question was never answered. is it 6 months from the time you join
boom gaming or 6 months from when you started playing the server? i keep asking
because i would really love to be admin and since i am in crackhouse nearly
24-7 that would resolve the issue.

The only friend request I've had in the last two weeks was from Sara, its unlikely that one of the BOOM admins would treat a player with such disrespect as this person is claiming.

being part african american i was pretty pissed tonite. couple dudes came in and kept saying nigger nigger nigger. again not being able to reach admin. i messaged 22-250, !boomreboot, !boompmpkng, and jack who are all admins and no response. i also added you with no response.  12 midnight on april 6th this all took place.

its one thing to say you monitor servers or have strong access to admins and another thing not to do it.  its obvious the trouble there is trying to reach admin or having the option of votekick or ban

i probably sound like a whiner to you but i am a big fan of these servers. i mean all i ask for is honesty. if this is how things are run then just let me know and i will shut my mouth and wont expect any better

For the last time, I again ask you to add me to Xfire and/or STEAM. You still have yet to do so. I also ask that you submit ban requests through the proper channels as we expect from all players when you can't reach an admin.

I was online when the above N-Word rant happened. Another player messaged me about it via STEAM and I banned them immediately. You can see them in our Global Ban list at: bans.boomgaming.net. The players you were referring to were: "Tyler" and "TIT".

I have repeatedly asked our Admin staff if they have received messages or invites from you or anyone else they have not accepted. They have no pending invites so any invite they received was acknowledged by them one way or another. You are the only person I've received this complaint from. I you are that miserable and you're not willing to do as we ask by submitting bans as we request when you can't reach an Admin, I can't help you any further. We have 27 volunteer Admins who respond well when procedure is followed and they are available. but they are none the less volunteers and they do their best.
