You have several strikes against you with this computer. The specs you listed are extremely old. I'm actually surprised you can play at all with that small amount of memory.

In order to play games like CS: Source smoothly, you need to upgrade some stuff.

I recommend the following upgrades:

- Increase your RAM to at least 1 GB

-Change your central processing unit (CPU) chip to an Intel Pentium IV 2.6 GHz or above and throw away the Celeron chip.

- Upgrade to a PCI Video Card by ATI (Radeon) or NVidia (Geforce).

Assuming you have Windows XP, I have everything you need to do this upgrade if you are interested in buying the stuff from me. The price would be around $175.00 and your PC would run like never before.

The alternative is to buy a new PC. www.tigerdirect.com has some outstanding deals for between $350.00 - $550.00. To do this right, I would spend the extra money for a new PC rather than upgrade the old one. It's just not gonna get you very far with the upgrades, but it will work for CS: Source if you choose to do so. Other more detailed games won't be able to run as well and you'll be in the same boat you are now inside of a year.

If you need help deciding on a new PC, please let me know and I'll help you out. Whatever you do though, stay away from Intel Celeron and AMD Semptron and Duron processors. These are very low end and don't do well for games at all.

Good Luck!

I don't have a method to pay online.

But, I have a nice setup for a PC that comes to close to $2000 that I'm planning on getting made Smiley

Although when I'll have the money to do it is still a mystery Sad

$2000 is overkill for a PC these days. You can easily get a sweet machine for under $1000 that will play any game you throw at it. Anything more is a waste of money.

It sounds like money will be an issue for you. If you decide to upgrade the one you have, I'll help you get it done like I said. Hang in there.

I don't want to upgrade, I want to go brand new. And I don't want one premade cause Vista is gay.. and well, I want it custom made Tongue

As for right now, money is very limited because I'm no longer working.

Way to over priced.

I got a New PC and payed 999$

Specs:
Quad Core 2.40gHz overclocked to 2.8gHz
2gb memory DDR2 (bought extra 2gb for 30$, so 4 gigs alltogether)
Nvidia 8600GT 512ram
350gb Harddrive
Nvidia 680i SLI motherboared

Going to buy a 3party cooling fan to overclock it to 3.2gHz.

Your Build is way to overpriced

Well, if you can put me together a good "FULL" build for less, that will last a long time, without needing to be upgraded then be my guest, but until I have that, what I listed is what I have to go by..

And a reminder, I don't do the overclocking crap..

There you go 999,00$

And about the overclocking! You know that the Quad cores are made to be overclocked right? Thats the whole point of acctualy buying one. Just google the proccesor and people will tell you how much they overclockit.

ATI Radeon HD 2600Xt video driver
2 gb memory
250gb harddrive
Asus p5l-mx motherboard
